A user can request that a compound is made available or ordered for use.
From the main menu Requests
- Select Requests
The Request screen will be displayed. By default, this will show all requests that you have made – you can change the defaults using Setup – Personal Settings
- Select Create a New Request from the menu on the left-hand side
A blank New Request screen will be displayed, which needs to be completed
- Select the department that is requesting the compound – this will fill in automatically if you have access restricted to a single department
- Select the user that is requesting the compound – this will default to your user name
- You can optionally enter a project – this may be a project code, reference code or study number
- Select a protocol or licence number – if protocols are in use on-site, you must select the protocol under which the compound will be used
- The Date/time requested will fill in automatically with the date/time of entry but can be changed if the entry is historical
- You can enter the supplier’s Catalogue code – if this is a commonly used compound, then this process will automatically enter further default data. You can also select the compound from this list
- If the compound can be bought in various pack sizes, you can select the required size from the list
- Select the supplier of the compound, or type the supplier’s name if they are not on the drop-down list
- Enter the name or description of the compound
- Select the nuclide that the compound contains
- Enter the date/time that the compound is required for
- You can enter the activity reference date/time of the compound if it is known. This is optional as it is unlikely to be known at this stage
You must then enter two of the following:
- The activity that is required and select the units
- The quantity that is required and select the units
- The concentration that is required and select the units
The third figure is calculated from the two entries. You can select which figure will be calculated by clicking on the calculator beside it.
- You can optionally enter the specific activity required and the units
- You can optionally enter the cost of the compound
- You can optionally enter any other notes about the compound
- Clicking OK will check that all the entered data is valid and then check against any licences that are in place. If all is acceptable, the request will be recorded ready for authorisation, ordering and receiving
Variations – this entry can be performed by selecting Enter New Request directly from the Requests menu. You can also start the entry from a previously saved Standard Request by selecting Create from Standard Request.
