Nuclear Medicine Training – Receiving Items

All items need to be received on IsoStock when they arrive on site. This can be recorded in the Nuclear Medicine – Receive items screen.

The screen shows existing items, Radiopharmacy requests (in blue) and Stock requests (in green). There are options at the top of the screen to filter what is displayed.

To receive an item, highlight the request/order and click Receive this request from the side menu.

Most of the details will already be completed from the request or order. You may need to add the reference date/time, activity/quantity, batch numbers, and storage location/store.

IsoStock will allocate a unique reference number.

Confirm details/release product

Before products can be used on the Dose Administration screen, they need releasing.

This can be done by selecting the Confirm details/release on the Receive items screen.

Details of the product will be shown alongside the original request. The details include the pharmaceutical, ARSAC investigation, expiry dates, DRL and decay corrected activity at the required time.

If you are assaying items after the initial entry, this screen also shows these details, with the percentage discrepancy between supplier and assay activity.

If all is correct, click OK to confirm and release the product.
