Nuclear Medicine Training – Planning External Orders

IsoStock can track orders of radioactive products before they arrive on-site.

This is managed in the Radiopharmacy – Planning – External Orders screen.

Orders are usually placed against Radiopharmacy Requests, e.g. a bought-in product like a DatSCAN to meet the requirement. Occasionally, the order could be a kit that is used to manufacture the required product.

To order against a request, select that item and click Order this item from the side menu.

Most of the information will be pre-filled from the request. You may need to select the exact product from the Catalogue code drop/down list and/or activity/quantity information.

If you know the reference date and time, these can also be entered. This, along with the date/time expected, allows IsoStock to calculate the activity that will be delivered and check against EA Permits.

Items that are ordered will be given a unique reference code. This is the reference that will be allocated when the product arrives.

Ordering one-off items

Using the Create a new request option, you can also order one-off items that aren’t linked to a Radiopharmacy request. This can cover items such as generators.
