Standard Requests

Allows the user to create a list of commonly ordered compounds, with the option to default the department/user information etc. The Authorisation screen displays a table of standard requests and provides a number of options.

The list provides information on standard requests:

Cat codethe manufacturers/supplier’s catalogue code
Compoundthe name/details of the compound
Activitythe activity required
Quantitythe quantity required
Rad concthe concentration required

There is a drop-down for selecting which standard requests are displayed:

That are mineany requests with the users name on
For my departmentany requests by any department to which the user belongs
For user…any requests by the selected user
For department…any requests by the selected department
Allall standard requests

The lower part of the screen shows detailed information about any highlighted request.

Create Standard Request

A blank New Standard Request screen will be displayed which needs to be completed. The screen is mostly identical in operation and layout to Create a new request.

Departmentthe department the request is made by
Requested bythe user that the request is made by
Projectthe project for which the request is used (free text/optional)
Protocol/licencethe protocol or licence under which the compound is used
Catalogue codethe manufacturer’s / supplier’s catalogue code
Supplierthe name of the supplier
Compoundthe name/details of the compound
Radionuclidethe radionuclide that the compound contains
Activitythe activity required (optional)
Quantitythe quantity required (optional)
Concentrationthe concentration required (optional)
Spec actthe specific activity required (optional)

You must enter two of the following:

  • The activity that is required and select the units
  • The quantity that is required and select the units
  • The concentration that is required and select the units

The third figure is calculated from the two entered. You can select which figure is to be calculated by clicking on the calculator beside it.

Clicking OK will check that all the entered data is valid and then check against any licences that are in place. If all is acceptable, the standard request will be saved.

View/Edit Standard Request

Allows the user to edit details of the highlighted request by opening an Edit Request Screen. This option is mostly identical in operation and layout to Create a new request; however, the screen is prefilled with details of the highlighted request.

Clicking OK then takes you to a confirmation screen which requires a reason for the edit to be provided.

Delete Standard Request

Allows the user to delete a Standard Request that is no longer needed.
