The Requests screen allows the user to manage requests for compounds. It displays a table of requests and provides a number of options.
The table provides information on:

| Project | project or study number that the compound is for |

Colour is used to highlight request status:
| Black | awaiting authorisation |
| Green | authorised |
| Red | authorisation refused |
| Grey | received/ordered |
A drop-down is provided for selecting which data is displayed:
| By me | compounds requested by the user |
| By my department | compounds requested by any of the departments the user has access to |
| By user… | compounds requested by the user selected |
| By department… | compounds requested by the department selected |
| All | all outstanding requests |
The lower part of the screen shows detailed information about any highlighted request.
Create a New Request
A blank New Request screen will be displayed, which needs to be completed
| Department | department that requires the compound |
| Requested by | the user requesting the material/intended owner |
| Project | a project number or study number (free text/optional) |
| Protocol/licence | the protocol or licence under which the compound is to be used |
| Date/time requested | when the request was made |
| Catalogue code | the manufacturer’s / supplier’s catalogue code for the compound (free text). Selecting a compound will fill in other default details |
| Pack size | available when selecting a compound which is supplied in different quantities |
| Supplier | supplier of the compound (free text) |
| Compound | the name/description of the compound (free text) |
| Radionuclide | the radionuclide that the compound contains |
| Date/time Required | when the compound needs to be available |
| Reference date/time | the reference/activity date (optional) |
| Activity | the required activity and units |
| Quantity | the required quantity and units |
| Concentration | the required concentration and units |
| Calculate | specifies which of activity/quantity/concentration will be calculated from the other two values |
| Spec act | the specific activity required and units (optional) |
| Cost | the cost of the compound (optional) |
| Notes | any other notes (optional) |
You must enter two of the following:
- The activity that is required and select the units
- The quantity that is required and select the units
- The concentration that is required and select the units
The third figure is calculated from the two entries. You can select which figure will be calculated by clicking on the calculator beside it.
Clicking OK will check that all the entered data is valid and then check against any licences that are in place. If all is acceptable, the request will be assigned a reference and then be recorded, ready for authorisation, ordering and receiving.
View/Edit Request
Allows the user to edit details of the highlighted request by opening an Edit Request Screen. This option is mostly identical in operation and layout to Create a new request; however, the screen is prefilled with details of the highlighted request.
Clicking OK then takes you to a confirmation screen which requires a reason for the edit to be provided.
Copy Request
Allows the user to enter a new request by taking the initial details from the highlighted request.
This option is identical in operation to Create a new request. However, the fields are prefilled with the values from the highlighted request.
Make This a Standard Request
Allows the user to “save” the highlighted request as a standard request which can be repeatedly recalled at a later date to speed up request entry.
This option is identical in operation to Standard Requests – Create a new Request
Delete Request
Allows the user to delete the highlighted request. On deleting, a reason must be entered using either:
- Selecting from a drop-down list of default reasons
- Entering free text
Create from Standard Request
Allows the user to create a new request but takes the initial information from a previously created standard request.
After selecting the required standard request, this option is mostly identical in operation and layout to Create a new request. However, the screen is prefilled with details of the selected standard request.
Copy to Clipboard
Allows the user to copy the contents of a request onto the clipboard in a format defined within Setup.
Print This Request/List
Allows the user to print:
- the list of requests – date required, Compound, Authorisation status, Quantity, Radioactive Concentration
- details about individual requests – Department, Requestor, Project, Study, Licence, Date/Time requested/required, Supplier, Compound, Radionuclide, Activity, Quantity, Concentration, Specific Activity
Exportable to PDF/Excel/CSV/Clipboard to Excel/Word/email.
Show Edits
If a request has been edited, the option Show Edits will be available. The option details the date/time/user and reason for the edit, together with an audit trail of the changes made.
