Consignments

Allows the user to manage the transfer of waste (and compounds) off-site.

The screen shows a list of all consignments awaiting final disposal:

Referenceunique consignment reference
Prep datedate it was prepared
Routedisposal route or company that will deal with it
Activitythe total activity for all containers within the consignment
Disposedwhether it has been confirmed as disposed
Datethe date it was finally disposed of
Contract refcontractors reference
Planned dateintended date of disposal/collection
Plan acttotal activity of the all containers within the consignment decay corrected for the Planned date
Nuclideslist of nuclides in the consignment

Colour is used to indicate status:

Blackprepared but not disposed of
Greendisposed of off-site
Orangetransfer off-site of usable material (but not classed as waste)

There is a drop-down to select which consignments to display:

Prepared but not disposed ofall prepared consignments currently awaiting disposal
Disposed ofall consignments that have been disposed of
Non waste transfersall non-waste transfers of usable material
Allall consignments

The lower part of the screen shows information for the highlighted consignment

There is a search facility where the user can enter the consignment reference, the contractor’s reference, or the reference of any waste container.

Edit This Consignment

Allows the user to edit the consignment details, add and remove containers. It is identical in operation to Accumulated Waste – Create a waste consignment.

Confirm Disposal/Transfer

Allows the user to confirm that a consignment has finally been disposed of or transferred off-site.

The user enters:

Date/time sentwhen the consignment was finally disposed of
Sent bywho confirmed the transfer

On confirmation, the system will place information on the clipboard about the consignment, all the containers, and the activities. It will also include encrypted data that can be pasted into another IsoStock system via Accumulated waste – Create waste from clipboard.

Edit This Disposal

You can use this option to edit disposals of containers from the Department Waste screen. If waste is disposed of directly, without moving to Decay Store and Consigned, it can be edited using this option.

It is identical to Department Waste – Dispose of this waste.

View Decay Table

Displays a table showing how the selected consignment will decay over a given period

There is a drop-down for selecting days, weeks, months or years, with decay calculated as a total and in nuclide/waste type combinations.

Edit This Transfer

Allows the user to edit the details for a non-waste transfer. It is identical in operation to Compound Details – Transfer off-site.

Edit This Sealed Source Transfer

Allows the user to edit the details of a Sealed Source transfer. It is identical in operation to Sealed Sources – Transfer off site.

Delete This Consignment

Allows the user to delete a consignment.

Note that it is not possible to delete a consignment that has been confirmed as disposed/sent. You will need to Edit and untick the Sent option first.

Note that this option only deletes the consignment, not the containers included on it.

Delete This Disposal

You can use this option to delete disposals of containers from the Department Waste screen. If waste is disposed of directly, without moving to Decay Store and Consigned, the disposal information can be deleted using this option.

Prints a list of all the currently displayed consignments.

Prints the details of the highlighted consignment, including information on all the containers.

Prints a list of each container in the consignment, showing a breakdown by radionuclide and waste type.

Show Edits

This option shows the details of any changes to a consignment along with the user, the date/time of the change, the reason, and the items changed.
