Allows the user to manage the list of users that can use the system, the departments that they have access to and the security level that is assigned to them.
The screen lists all the current users’ details:
| Name | the login name/user name |
| Level | the security level that is enforced |
| Department | the department(s) they have access to |
| Unique ID | if the network ID is added, the login screen can auto-select the user |
| Rad user? | the user is listed as an option during data entry |
Colour is used to indicate status:
| Black | active users with access |
| Grey | a user with access but not listed for radioactivity |
| Red | a user with access, but not listed for radioactivity |
| Blue | a user listed for radioactivity, with access disabled |
There is a drop-down for selecting which users to display:
| Active users | all users listed on screens |
| Inactive users | old users no longer listed on screens |
| In department | users that have access to the specified department |
| Users with access | users that have a security level enabled |
| Radioactivity users | users that are enabled for radioactivity entries |
| All | all users |
Add a New User
Allows the user to add another user to the system.
The details that must be entered are:
| First name | the user’s surname/family name |
| Surname | the user’s surname/family name |
| Unique ID | the user’s unique identifier |
| User name | this is automatically created from the first name, surname and ID. At least one of these must be entered |
| Password | the password the user uses to login |
| Start of radioactive work | when the user started using radioactivity |
| End of radioactive work | when the user stopped using radioactivity |
| Authorisation notes | notes that are displayed while authorising requests made by this user |
| Access | the level of access that the user has. |
| Departments | which departments the user has access to. Selecting All gives a choice of whether or not the user is displayed on lists. This can be used for a supervisor who has access to the system but does not carry out radioactive work |
| User can be selected on lists and transactions | whether the user is current and is displayed on user lists on entry screens |
Edit This User
Allows the user to edit any of the user details. It is identical in operation to Add a new user.
Delete This User
Allows the user to delete a user that is not needed in the system.
How to Deactivate User
To deactivate a user that has records, start by editing the user.
- Setting the Access to “No access” will disable login for that user
- Unticking User can be selected on lists and transactions will remove them from all entry screens.
Print This List
Prints a list of all the users displayed.
Print Training Certificate
Prints an A4 Training Certificate with the user’s name on it. This can be kept as a training record.
