Overview

This report lists all the limits that are enforced on site along with the current figures and a percentage of the limit.

There are totals for:

Maximum duringthe maximum amount of stock at any one time during the period
Holding at end ofthe total activity remaining at the end of the period
Disposals duringthe total activity disposed of by each means during the period
Waste at end ofthe total amount of waste at the end of the period
Acquisition duringthe total activity acquired during the period
Sealed source at end ofthe total number of sources at the end of the period

The user can make further selections to specify which month to check, or which year to check, and whether the system shows site totals, both site and department totals, or just the totals for the specified department.

Why is my waste older than expected when looking at this year?

Some of the Permits are period based, e.g. Disposals
Some are Point-in-time, e.g. Activity Levels, Volume, Time Period

For a monthly/yearly report, period based Permits translate well as they are a total for the period.

Point-in-time figures do not translate so well. “How much activity did we have in January?” doesn’t make sense.

To cover these, we provide Maximum figures, e.g. the Maximum activity during January.

We also provide a figure for the end of the period, e.g. What is carried over into the next period.

When the period is incomplete, e.g. This Year, the values are calculated for the end of the period.

This translates well for Activity, as it is always decaying.
Volume is also covered, as it would be static.
Time Period is more complicated, as it will be increasing. IsoStock can only assume the existing waste will still be on site.

So this is producing what appears to be an odd figure.

We concluded that a single Overview for everything was preferable to splitting this into multiple reports run separately.
