A blank New Order screen will be displayed, which needs to be completed
| Order number | unique order reference number |
| Suppliers order number | any reference number provided by the supplier (optional) |
| Date/time ordered | when the order was made (will auto-fill with current date/time) |
| Ordered by | who placed the order (will default to current user) |
| Date expected | when the compounds are expected to be delivered |
| Supplier | the supplier of the compounds |
| Address | the address of the supplier (optional) |
| Contact | the contact for the supplier (optional) |
Compounds can then be added to the order by one of two methods.
Add an Authorised Request
A list of all authorised requests is provided, and the user can select the required request. Once selected, the initial details for the order are taken from the request.
The details can be confirmed/adjusted:
| Reference | unique reference for the compound |
| Project | the project or study number that the compound is for (free text / optional) |
| Protocol/licence | the protocol or licence under which the compound will be used |
| Catalogue code | the manufacturers/suppliers’ catalogue number for the compound |
| Compound | the name/details of the compound |
| Radionuclide | the radionuclide that the compound contains |
| Deliver to | the location to which the compound is to be delivered |
| Cost | the cost of the compound (optional) |
| Reference date/time | the reference/activity date for the compound (optional) |
| Activity | the activity being ordered |
| Quantity | the quantity being ordered |
| Concentration | the concentration being order |
| Calculate | which of the values is being calculated from the other two |
| Spec act | the specific activity being ordered (optional) |
| Notes | any further notes (optional) |
The On Delivery fields will calculate the activity at the time of delivery if the expected date has been entered on the previous screen.
Add Non-Requested Compound
Allows the user to add other compounds not originally requested to the order.
The details that can be entered are:

| Department | the department the compound is for |
| Ordered for | the user the compound is for |
| Project | the project or study that the compound is for (free text / optional) |
| Protocol/licence | the protocol or licence under which the compound will be used |
| Catalogue code | the manufacturers/suppliers’ catalogue code of the compound |
| Compound | the name/details of the compound |
| Radionuclide | the radionuclide that the compound contains |
| Cost | the cost of the compound (optional) |
| Deliver to | the location to which the compound is to be delivered |
| Reference date/time | the reference/activity date of the compound (optional) |

Confirm
Once the order is confirmed, a unique order number will be issued (if applicable), and all compounds will also be given unique reference numbers (if applicable).
