Collection

Provides the user with a function for managing the collection of waste from the departments/laboratories, including moving it to the decay store.

The screen shows a list of waste containers to be collected, detailing:

Referencethe unique reference code
Start datewhen the container was first used
Radionuclidesthe radionuclides that it contains
Activitythe total activity of the contents
Dayshow long it has awaited collection
Locationwhere it is
Collectedwhen it was collected

Colour is used to indicate status:

Blackawaiting collection
Greycollected and moved to decay store
Redbeen awaiting collection for more than the time allowed
Purplecontainers not marked for collection but overdue for that container type

There is a drop-down to select the waste to display:

To be collectedall containers awaiting collection
Collected todayall containers collected today
Collected in last monthall containers collected during the past month

The user can select the order of the list by clicking on the headers Reference, Days and Location.

Mark as Collected

Allows the user to highlight a number of containers and record that they have been collected.

After highlighting the containers, the data the user must enter is:

And Placed Inthe location the waste was moved to
Date / Time Collectedwhen it was collected
Collected Bywho collected it

Edit Collection Details

Allows the user to edit the collection details of the highlighted container. It is identical in operation to Mark as collected (with a single container).

Edit Collection Request

Allows the user to edit the Collection Request information enabling them to return a container to the department in the event of a problem. It is identical in operation to Request Collection on the Department Waste screen.

Prints a list of all the displayed containers, or the highlighted containers if one or more are selected.

Prints the details of the highlighted container.

Show Edits

This option shows the details of any changes along with the user, the date/time of the change, the reason, and the items changed.
